Black History Nugget for February 1: Happy Birthday to The Crown Prince of Reggae - Dennis Emmanuel Brown

Happy Birthday to the late great Dennis Emmanuel Brown who was born today on 1st February 1957 and departed to join his ancestors on 1st July 1999. Dennis Emmanuel Brown was a Jamaican reggae singer and during his prolific career, which began in the late 1960s when he was aged eleven, he recorded more than 75 albums and was one of the major stars of lovers rock , a sub genre of reggae. Bob Marley cited Brown as his favorite singer, dubbing him "The Crown Prince of Reggae".
